We've tried interior frame feeders, top bucket feeders and Boardman feeders. This top feeder is our favorite. The dual trough system holds up to 3.2 gallons of feed. The bees come up through the oval cut-out in your inner cover, and climb through the cutout area between the troughs on the inside of the screen. They then climb down the inside of the screen, and use it to hold on to while feeding; significantly reducing accidental drowning. Unlike interior frame feeders, you don't have to disrupt the hive to check or refill. They are also much easier to clean than similar wooden trough designs with floats. We really like them.
